- The SafeAssuredtm ID program at the Volunteer Center of Racine County, Inc. (VCRC) is funded by donations and provides families with an all inclusive senior or child-ID package. SafeAssuredtm ID aids in the quick recovery of a missing person by creating a news media and Amber Alert ready encrypted mini-CD. The mini-CD contains digital fingerprints, personal information, a digital photograph, video and voice recording of the missing person. It goes to the family and guarantees full confidentiality of the personal information, which can only be decrypted by law enforcement personnel. The SafeAssuredtm ID package is especially valuable to the families or caregivers of seniors afflicted by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
Volunteers with the SafeAssuredtm ID program help operate cameras, take fingerprints and enter information whenever SafeAssuredtm ID booths are set up at local schools, senior homes, safety fairs, health fairs and other public events. Come help us provide Racine’s seniors and children with a comprehensive missing-person recovery kit. SafeAssured ID is endorsed by Racine Area Crime Stoppers, Sheriff Chris Schmalling, the Volunteer Center of Racine County, and the Racine Police Department. Former Sheriff Bob Carlson advised, “This is the most inclusive identification system I have seen. I fully endorse it.”

When an individual is reported missing, minutes matter. According to Ernie Allen, President and CEO of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), “Time is the enemy when it comes to recovering a missing child. A critical element to the first few hours of an investigation is for law enforcement to have a good quality, current photograph of the missing child. NCMEC urges parents and guardians to maintain easily accessible, good quality photographs of their children. SafeAssured helps them accomplish this.”
SafeAssured ID is a viable tool, not only for children, but for anyone. The SafeAssured ID kit provides families with an added sense of security and peace of mind. The mini CD captures physical characteristics and video footage that can be provided to law enforcement within moments of disappearance. Families receive a mini CD that contains: streaming video, digital voiceprint, a digital photograph, a full set of digitally scanned fingerprints, and general physical information. Private and sensitive data are encrypted, accessible only to law enforcement. Lastly, families receive a durable, full color photo ID card and a guidebook, written in conjunction with NCMEC, which contains helpful safety tips.

SafeAssured ID is the most comprehensive family safety program of its kind.
