From Volunteer Center of Racine County

The Volunteer Center of Racine County serves youth throughout the county in a variety of ways, through various groups, organizations and nonprofit agencies. Volunteers are sought from all segments of the youth population; to serve a broad spectrum of needs. Those who benefit from youth services are encouraged to also volunteer, so they can experience the power community service has in making a profound difference in the lives of others.

Youth Leadership Program (YLP)

This school based program focuses on assisting middle school students with the transition from middle school or high school. This program meets once a week for 10 weeks during school or after school hours. YLP members learn effective leadership skills, positive steps to resolving conflict, decision-making and teamwork. The program culminates with youth led community service project.

2011 Youth Summer Camp Schedule : Summer Camp Flyer 2011

YVCA Summer Camps 2011 Summer Camps were a great success!: The Volunteer Center of Racine County, Inc. offers annual Youth Volunteer Corps of America (YVCA) Summer Camps. These FREE summer camps are for youth between the ages of 11 -18 and only 20 students per camp. Below is the flyer of the 2011 camps for reference and future planning purposes. We will offer new camps and offer some of the same camps in 2012.

Plan now to attend our FREE summer camps: All camps are Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. for youth ages 11 to 18.

You must provide your own transportation to and from camps. Permission slip are required and available by contacting Sharin Tellez, Youth Coordinator at the Volunteer Center of Racine via e-mail stellez@volunteercenterofracine.org or by clicking on the below link.
