From Volunteer Center of Racine County

Tashanti Young, is a Youth Volunteer Corps/Americorps Youth Team Leader at the Volunteer Center of Racine. She started at the Volunteer Center last year as an Intern from Gateway Technical College. Here Tashanti was provided with field experience, assisting in the Youth Leadership Program, Youth Advisory Board meetings and with the Youth Summer Camps. Now, as an AmeriCorps Team Leader she has gained additional leadership, communication, and organization skills, along with much patience. Tashanti has found her experience to be very worthwhile and rewarding.
