Effervescent and enthusiastic. These are just two words that describe the type of energy Susan brings to the position of Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Director!

Born, raised and still residing in Racine, Susan earned her bachelors degree in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She worked in local radio, in advertising and retail sales, and as an instructor of written communications at Gateway Technical College.

Being a volunteer has always been apart of Susan’s life. From preschool classroom helper to PTA to parish council member and from church lector to 14 year Girl Scout leader, she has come to believe that volunteering is a desirable and necessary component in each person’s life.

This combination of skills and experiences has prepared Susan well for the challenges of being the RSVP Director. She welcomes the opportunity to recruit and coordinate those 55 and better and connect them with volunteer availabilities and needs at various organizations and group locations. Susan feels it is an honor to be associated with so many people and agencies working in cooperation for the betterment of the Racine County.
