From Volunteer Center of Racine County

The Corporation for National and Community Service, or CNCS, was created as an independent agency of the United States Government by The National and Community Service Trust Act of 1993.

The mission of the Corporation for National and Community Service is to "support the American culture of citizenship, service, and responsibility." While a government agency, the Corporation acts much like a foundation, and it is the nation’s largest grantmaker supporting service and volunteering.

The Volunteer Center of Racine County has been a recipient of CNCS funding through the nationally acclaimed RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program)since our inception. With the support of CNCS, we are able to operate a successful RSVP program for Racine County residents, age 55 and better. If you are interested in becoming an RSVP volunteer, please contact Susan Feehrer, RSVP Director, at 262-886-9612 or sfeehrer@volunteercenterofracine.org.
