Cathy LaFaive-Markstrom is the new Southeast Wisconsin Citizen Corps Coordinator. What is Citizen Corps? It is a group of programs, such as CERT (Citizen Emergency Response Training, WisTAP (Wisconsin Terrorism Awareness Program), MRC (Medical Reserve Corps), and VIPS (Volunteers in Police Service) that bring communities together and trains citizens in safety, first aid, disaster recovery and awareness, and much more!

Cathy is a full-time student at UW-Parkside majoring in Geosciences and minoring in Criminal Justice. She is also an amateur radio operator with the callsign KC9EOW. She has an 8 yr old son named Samm and a hubby named Jim (KB9MMA). She is an avid reader and enjoys crafts as well as cooking.
