4th Mayor and County Recognition Day for National Service Honors Volunteers in Southeastern Wisconsin 1 PM
Members of the public are invited to join Racine Mayor John Dickert and Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave as they lead the commemoration of Mayor and County Recognition Day for National Service at the Racine City Hall Council Chambers, 730 Washington Avenue, at 1:00 p.m.
10th The Volunteer Center of Racine County, 6216 Washington Ave, Suite G, Racine WI, 53046 will be collecting essential care items such as hair care products, bedding, makeup, toothpaste, and soft goods from April 10 through May 12. 11th Community Awareness Day – 11 am – 4pm at Gateway Technical College Racine campus, Lake Building. As in past years, this community event is offering Racine and Kenosha County services the opportunity to reach the many students at Gateway and area high schools to inform them of community service and volunteering.
22nd Earth Day - volunteer to beautify our community.

- The Kenosha Public Museum both @ Gateway Technical College 3520 – 30th Ave Kenosha, WI from 9:45 – 2pm Volunteers are needed to help visitors play migratory bird games and fish for fish facts. Fun and simple! Interested in volunteering? contact Carolyn Wheeler by calling 262-653-4139
- networkspecialists – will be having a technology recycling drop- any electronic item will be accepted. From 9-4. The drop point is the parking lot at our office 6021 Durand Ave.
- Earth Day at Gateway Elkhorn – The Friends group of Bong State Recreation Area—Bong Naturalist Association is hoping to host booths at the earth day event located at the Gateway Technical College Campus 400 County Road H, Elkhorn, WI 53121. The booth will have park information and small items to sell. Booth hosts will greet people, answer questions and be ambassadors for the park as well as sell items. Need 2 volunteers for the 10am-12pm shift which would include arranging to pick up booth supplies and setting up. Will need 1 volunteer for the 12-2pm booth to be with a BNA volunteer.
