Albert (Al) Volmut
Under the direction of the Volunteer Center’s Board of Directors, Al is responsible for overseeing all programs offered and management of daily operations. Community awareness and fundraising is a major component of his responsibilities.
Al is a native of Riverside, IL who attended the University of Illinois-Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. While on summer breaks during college, Al would visit his cousin in Racine and following graduation, decided to relocate and make Racine his new home.
Since moving to Racine, Al has embraced his new community becoming very active. Prior to the Volunteer Center, Al was employed for over 23 years as the Training Director for Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce. He has served and been involved with community organizations: Fourth Fest of Greater Racine, Racine Youth Sports, Kids First Fund and church activities.
Al has been married to his wife Joan for 28 years with two grown children and one grandson.
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program Director (RSVP)
Bruce Davis joined the Volunteer Center of Racine County in 2010 as RSVP Director. Bruce is originally from Vermont and has lived in the Racine area since his discharge from the U.S. Army in 1973. He is a graduate of the Defense Information School (DINFOS), and served as a Public Information Specialist (SP5) with the 45th ADA Brigade (Nike Hercules) at Ft. Sheridan, IL.
Bruce graduated from the University of Vermont before enlisting in the Army. He was a producer and on-air personality in his native New England while in college and worked in the Milwaukee and Chicago media markets while in the service.
Bruce was a financial adviser for over thirty years, including twenty years at Robert W. Baird & Co. He retired in 2008. Today, he still works on freelance projects and enjoys talking with fellow amateur radio operators (hams). He holds the “Extra-Class” designation with the call letters, N9BBL. Bruce enjoys keeping in touch with past professional and academic colleagues.
Bruce served as a board member and treasurer of the 21st Century Preparatory School. He is a Midwest alumni representative for the University of Vermont (UVM), organizing events for prospective UVM students from the Chicago-Milwaukee corridor.
Bruce enjoys speaking with organizations and individuals about volunteer opportunities for seniors in Racine County.

Judie is a Racine native who loves to help others. She started her career at an early age by working at her family’s locally owned business. That job lead to her to working with various local businesses and manufacturing companies.
Having worked the majority of her life, retirement created a void. Judie began volunteering at the Volunteer Center in January of 2007. The Volunteer Center of Racine does so much for the community. Working with the Volunteer Center has opened the door to many others opportunities. She also volunteers with various organizations, does fund raising and contributes her other free time to the less fortunate, and the elderly.
Judie has a Bachelors of Arts in Marketing and Business Administration. She and her husband David (who also volunteers) like to travel and do home projects together! They have one Labrador retrievers that is very spoiled.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Joe is responsible for the financial record keeping of the Center. This position includes monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet statement presentations to the Board of Directors. It also includes annual operational budgeting and providing financial presentations for grant applications.
RSVP Outreach Coordinator
Dave is a retired Racine Police Officer. He is and has been a volunteer with Racine County Emergency Management as a Deputy Director for the past 30 years.
Dave is an avid ham radio enthusiast and volunteers with Racine County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES). Dave is also a ham radio instructor.
Dave is chairman of Racine County VOAD (Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) and chairman of Wisconsin Region IV Long Term Recovery Committee. He is also president of the Racine Community Outpost. This organization owns and maintains the Racine Police Community Oriented Police houses.
Dave enjoys doing community service work with the Kiwanis Club of Racine, the Kiwanis Holiday Lights Foundation, Racine County TRIAD, and the Wisconsin region of the International Police Association.
